William "Bill" Leahy

Founder

I created Renaissance Reliability to serve the American Manufacturer. Our collective responsibility is to set the standard for innovation, reliability, and effectiveness worldwide by creating a company unafraid to go beyond incremental innovation to challenge antiquated norms. Our mission is to establish Reliability as a core value by making its benefits undeniable and its consideration universal.

I have worked in manufacturing as an Engineering Superintendent, Maintenance Team Leader, Consultant, and service provider. During my time in the industry, I have served various clients from aerospace to pharmaceutical. I have facilitated and coached all elements of Reliability Engineering and Asset Management. I am an expert in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Design for Reliability & Maintainability (DfR).

Before my career in manufacturing, I served ten years in the United States Army as a West Point Cadet, NCAA Division 1 hockey player, and infantry officer. I was discharged from the Army at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, in 2014 after achieving the rank of Captain. In the military, I learned the values of leadership, self-discipline, resourcefulness, integrity, and teamwork.

I earned a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, the Reliability & Maintainability Implementation Certification (RMIC) from the University of Tennessee, and the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) credential through the Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP).

I live in Southeastern New England with my family, splitting my time between serving my family and community. I am a Quaker Hill Gun & Rod Club member and volunteer as a hockey and soccer coach for the local colleges and youth sports organizations.
